SpaceX achieved a groundbreaking milestone on April 7, launching TSAT-1A, India's first private sector-built military-grade geospatial satellite, into orbit. Developed by Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL) in collaboration with Satellogic, this achievement marks a significant leap forward in India's space capabilities.


Unveiling TSAT-1A:🚀

The TSAT-1A, boasting sub-metre resolution capabilities, was launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida aboard SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket. Weighing less than 50 kg, it orbits the Earth in low-earth orbit, equipped to provide high-resolution imagery with remarkable precision, less than one meter per pixel. 


TASL's Contribution:🚀

Manufactured at TASL's Vemagal facility in Karnataka, TSAT-1A represents a triumph of Indian engineering and innovation. 

TASL aims to cater primarily to government and armed forces, with plans to target commercial customers as well. To facilitate this, plans are underway to establish a ground center in India for data download and processing.
