NASA's Plan for a Levitating Railway System on the Moon Introduction: NASA has unveiled an ambitious project to create the first levitating railway system on the moon. This system, called Flexible Levitation on a Track (FLOAT), aims to support lunar activities and is crucial for the operation of a sustainable lunar base by the 2030s. The FLOAT Project: The FLOAT system will serve as a robotic transport mechanism, enhancing the efficiency of lunar missions.
